A Hard Rock Bet Online Casino player in New Jersey turned a $2 spin into $2,097,043.30 in the early hours of July 4. It was the first time the operator’s Mega Jackpot had crossed $2 million.
Action Network reported that the payout was more than $154,000 above the previous high. After the win, the Mega Jackpot re-seeded at $100,000.
The winning spin landed on Silver Lux — Sevens Hold’em Respin, a game developed by Greentube. Hard Rock Bet said the July 4 hit was the largest jackpot payout in its online casino history.
The prize sits within a four-tier system, with Mini, Minor, Major and Mega jackpots live on thousands of eligible slots in New Jersey. Players opt in by adding $0.20 to their base bet, and every qualifying spin then carries a random chance of triggering any tier.
Hard Rock Bet says the New Jersey Mega Jackpot seeds at $100,000 and is re-seeded at that level after a win. The higher seed lets the pool build into seven figures before it pays out.
The July 4 payout was the third New Jersey Mega Jackpot winner since the feature launched in April. According to Hard Rock Bet, each winner in the state has topped the last.
Deborah S. of South Plainfield won the first New Jersey Mega Jackpot on May 11, taking home $1,942,272.47. Less than a month later, another player claimed $1,937,382.05.
PokerNews reported that the June 4 win landed at 6:23 p.m. while the player was on Hot Rod Hog by Bragg. It also said the platform had produced two Mega Jackpot millionaires in New Jersey within weeks.
In Michigan, the same jackpot structure is smaller, with a $5,000 seed rather than $100,000. Hard Rock Bet said that difference helps explain why the Michigan version has hit more often, with four winners in June combining for more than $900,800.
