Caesars Entertainment and the Fiesta Bowl Organization entered a sports betting and fantasy sports partnership, the first of its kind for a college football bowl game. The plan of the new partnership is to focus on fan engagement and continuing expansion of sports gaming and education in the state of Arizona.
With sports betting set to become available in Arizona as of September 9, Caesars hopes to bring its desktop and mobile betting platform under the Caesars Sportsbook brand to college football fans in the state early, as well as offer betting directly at Chase Field in Phoenix, home of MLB’s Arizona Diamondbacks.
Caesars will also be working on educating fans on the importance of responsible gambling and bringing the college football experience even closer to the fans.
Chase Field is set to become Caesars’ first retail betting stop in Arizona, with a mobile app going live simultaneously, allowing betting from anywhere within the state borders, pending regulatory approvals which are set to come in the next days.
Caesars Entertainment has been working diligently on expanding its brand through similar partnerships, recently entering deals with Arizona Diamondbacks and the National Football League (NFL), as well as opening the first William Hill sportsbook (now called Caesars Sportsbook by William Hill) based at a professional US sports complex at Capital One Arena in Washington, DC.
“We’re thrilled to work with the Fiesta Bowl Organization on this landmark partnership to bring college football fans closer to the game and build awareness around the importance of responsible gaming practices,” said Caesars Digital Chief Development Officer Dan Shapiro. “These fans are unrivaled in their passion, and we look forward to offering Caesars Sportsbook to them this fall. Our offering provides a leading user experience where every wager gives players more through our award-winning Caesars Rewards.”
Fiesta Bowl Running Since 1971
First started in 1971, the Fiesta Bowl is played annually at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ.
Since 2016, the organization has been sponsored by PlayStation, with the game officially known as the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl.
The organization itself has been organizing the yearly bowl game, but also various charitable events, driving economic growth, and inspiring pride in all citizens of Arizona by promoting the game and helping the community in many ways away from the field.
The focus of all Fiesta Bowl powered events and partnerships is to help boost the nonprofit and charitable organizations within Arizona and help the community by promoting and financing various youth, sports and education programs.
Caesars Entertainment Entering Arizona Early
With legal sports betting in Arizona officially launching on September 9, Caesars Entertainment is among the companies making an early move to get things ready for the launch.
Once it is legally allowed, Caesars will open a retail sportsbook at Chase Field, making it the first baseball field in the US to have a sportsbook within the complex.
But Caesars Entertainment won’t be the only gaming company entering the market. BetMGM recently announced a partnership with Gila River Hotels and Casinos, which will allow them to host a sportsbook within State Farm Stadium, home of the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals, which is set to open for the start of the 2022 NFL season.
These early launches will make Arizona a very interesting state for the sports bettors looking for action, as both retail and mobile betting will be available through multiple operators early.
