The world’s leading gambling software company, Playtech, has entered a partnership with Kindred Group-owned Unibet Interactive to provide their top-class random number generated (RNG) casino software for Unibet’s online casino in New Jersey, with the deal set to expand to other states in the near future.

Playtech has been making moves at the US market for some time, and their new partnership with Unibet Interactive is the next step of that process. Unibet’s NJ product has already become one of the best in the state, and the addition of the Playtech software will serve to further expand the quality of service provided by the operator.

“We are delighted to announce this exciting step in Playtech’s U.S. growth,” said Shimon Akad, Playtech’s chief operating officer. “Unibet delivers a fantastic entertainment experience to their US customers, and we are proud to partner with them to deliver Playtech’s Casino software as part of their market leading offering—starting in New Jersey.

“Playtech continues to partner with the leading operators in New Jersey to bring its industry leading casino software to the US market and we look forward to continuing to expand into new states.”

Kindred Group senior vice president Manuel Stan said he feels the addition of Playtech software to their NJ product is an exciting prospect as it will allow them to offer their customers a selection of the highest quality content in the industry. He also added that Kindred Group will be looking to expand on this cooperation by using Playtech software in other states as well.

Kindred Group’s US Expansion Continues

Kindred Group has been aggressively expanding its US operations this year, with their flagship Unibet brand expanding to Iowa and Arizona in September and having already been available to players in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Indiana.

The most recent move into Arizona was realized just days ago, as Kindred Group entered a partnership with the Quechan Tribe, which allows them to operate online gambling in the state through its Unibet brand.

Unibet will start out in Arizona with the launch of a mobile sportsbook product, with a retail Unibet sportsbook coming to the state in the near future as well.

Kindred Group disclosed that as of September 27, Capital Research and Management Company, a subsidiary of The Capital Group Companies, now holds a 10.53% stake in the company. Kindred did not say that the acquisition would affect its plans to aggressively expand through the US market.

The deal that Unibet just entered with Playtech should play a major part in the company’s future expansion plans, as Playtech software is introduced to more Unibet products over the coming months, improving the quality of service the operator is able to offer its customers.

Currently, Unibet is able to offer sports betting and online casino products to players in the states in which such products are regulated, and it is likely that we will see further Unibet sportsbooks launch in other states over the coming months, some of them possibly powered by Playtech software right from the start.
