This game is the very first online live craps game in the industry, and the launch of the game is a landmark moment for Evolution.
Evolution Gaming announced that it has launched its Live Craps game in New Jersey, and that it is working on a second live studio in the state to support craps and other live dealer games.
Last August, the Stockholm-based company launched Live Craps in Pennsylvania. At the time, Evolution said it had plans to launch the game in Michigan and New Jersey but was still waiting for regulatory approval.
The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE) has since cleared Evolution to roll out Live Craps. The launch is another example of the growing popularity of live dealer games at online casinos. Four states — Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia — have them.
Live dealer games have not launched in Connecticut but are expected to. They are illegal in Delaware.
The game is expected to be made available on many of the best online casinos in NJ, including BetRivers, FanDuel, Resorts, Caesars and Sugarhouse.
Second NJ Studio Under Construction
During an earnings call to discuss Q3 2022 on Thursday, CEO Martin Carlesund confirmed Live Craps launched in the Garden State on October 18. While there was no official announcement from the company about the launch on that day, Evolution tweeted on October 25 that it had launched the game.
“Craps is another step for Evolution in expanding its portfolio in the US, and giving players in Pennsylvania and New Jersey a full suite of live casino options,” Carlesund said during the Thursday call. “This game is the very first online live craps game in the industry, and the launch of the game is a landmark moment for Evolution.”
Carlesund said construction of a second live dealer studio in New Jersey “to cover for the increased demand [for live dealer games] there, is going well. I’m looking forward to launching it in the not-too-distant future.”

Although Evolution didn’t provide any details of the features in its Live Craps game, an image that accompanied the company’s tweet from October 25 showed a studio background identical to the one that opened in Pennsylvania in August.
The Pennsylvania studio was set in a speakeasy style and featured an “Easy Mode” and an interactive tutorial for learning to play craps.
Live Craps Not Available in Michigan Yet
Evolution opened a new live dealer studio in Connecticut during Q3 2022. It was the company’s fourth studio in the US. Carlesund said Evolution had also “recently launched several live dealer environments from our Michigan studio.
“These environments are customized areas of the live studio that are assigned to the specific operators. The dedicated studios look amazing and are unique. They incorporate branding to give players an experience unique to the operator’s brand.”
Evolution opened its live dealer studio in Southfield, a suburb of Detroit, opened in July 2021. It was Evolution’s third US studio.
The company is still waiting for approval from the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) before it launches Live Craps in that state.
