The WSOP Online Bracelet Series will return to New Jersey for the sixth year, but this year’s schedule is the broadest and the lengthiest.

The expansion to the WSOP 2023 schedule comes despite WSOP MI not being part of the operator’s existing shared liquidity network, which currently comprises players from New Jersey, Nevada, and Delaware.

With 20 online bracelets on the WSOP NJ/NV schedule this year, that’s seven more than last year, which only featured 13. It is a most significant expansion to the Online Bracelet Series, which has proven immensely popular over the years.

This year’s schedule is vast and features a variety of events, including a few new ones, the return of the hybrid online-live event, a wide range of buy-ins, and more.

The turnout for online bracelet events is expected to skyrocket again this year as hundreds and thousands of players will fly in from around the globe to play the world’s most decadent tournament series in Sin City.

Many of these will also take part in the online bracelet series. As New Jersey shares a player pool with Nevada, NJ players will also benefit from the massive influx of players during the summer.

Whether this will lead to record-breaking prize pools in 2023 remains to be seen, but in 2022, the NJ/NV online bracelet series produced over $13 million across 13 events.

Key Dates for WSOP NJ Players

The WSOP 2023 Online Bracelet Series on WSOP NJ kicks off on June 1 and runs through July 16. The bracelet events are scheduled to run every Sunday from the first week of June to mid-July. Bracelet events are also expected to run on occasional Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and, on one occasion, a Monday. A few Sundays are double bracelet days, with two bracelets being won in a single day.

These events usually run at either 3:30 PM PT or 4:30 PM PT.

Details of the WSOP NJ 2023 Online Bracelet Series

This year’s schedule includes nearly all the online bracelet events featured last year. This comprises the signature $1000 buy-in Online Championship event, PLO 6-max event, Summer Saver, $5k buy-in High Roller event, etc.

But a few notable new events are making their debut, including a PLO Championship & a 6-Max Championship — both coming for buy-ins of $1000 — and a couple of Turbo events and a $2000 buy-in Freezeout.

But perhaps the standout is the return of the hybrid online-live event in which most of the tournament is played online, and the final table is played in person. This event was last played out in 2016 for players in Nevada. The Crazy 888 carrying a $888 buy-in, is also making a comeback after a gap of two years.

But not all events have made it to this year’s schedule. This year, the $7k priced Lucky 7’s High Roller and the popular BIG 500 have been omitted.

Buy-ins across the series range from $333 — one of the lowest price points ever offered — to $5300. 20 online bracelets are scheduled.

Compared to the series in Michigan and Pennsylvania, the NJ series misses only out on PKOs and a $300-priced tournament.

Qualifiers for the Online Bracelets

WSOP will run qualifiers and satellites ahead of the start of the series, as it does every year. Qualifiers to the online bracelet events are expected to run with buy-in starting at $10 and direct satellites for a minimum of $30. Players can also expect some freerolls to run alongside the online satellites.

Qualifiers for the WSOP 2023 Main Event

Besides offering satellites for the online bracelets, the officials will host online satellites for the $10,000 buy-in WSOP 2023 Main Event.

Last year, direct satellites were available for $215 buy-in. Each of these direct satellites guaranteed one seat to the $10k buy-in Main Event. Sub-satellites were also available from buy-ins starting at $10. Expect these satellites to return at the same price point.

This year, the operator has committed to giving away over 100 seats, hoping to set a new record for the biggest Main in its 50-plus-year-long history as part of its online satellite campaign Seat Sprint. From June 25 to July 8, over 100 seats will be guaranteed on the WSOP US platform, including a 25 Seat Scramble giving away $250,000 worth of tickets.

The operator also runs a Freeroll at the end of every month, giving away one seat for free. Expect these freerolls to continue in the run-up to the $10,000 buy-in Main Event.

Key Takeaways

  • This is the broadest schedule in WSOP’s history of offering online bracelet events alongside the live series.
  • Next year could see further schedule expansion as Michigan will probably join the operator’s existing shared liquidity network.
  • It could also be the last series played on 888poker’s decade-old long software, as WSOP will probably upgrade the software to 888’s next-generation app by 2024.
