BetMGM Poker is set to open its Online Summer Classic on Friday, July 10, with a five-day schedule for players in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Michigan. The series will feature 22 events, $232,000 in guaranteed prizes and buy-ins ranging from $10 to $500.
Individual event guarantees run from $2,000 to $75,000. BetMGM says the line-up is aimed at the second weekend of July and at baseball fans, with tournaments starting between 5 pm and 9:30 pm so players can follow games on TV and play on mobile devices.
Satellites were already running before the main series began. Daily $10, $25 and $50 qualifiers are offering direct entry into the $250 and $500 events from July 5 to 14.
The company says $10 qualifiers feed Event 9, $25 qualifiers feed Event 19, and $50 qualifiers can win seats in both of the higher buy-in tournaments. There are also daily $25 satellites from July 5 to 11.
Two additional $25 satellites are scheduled early on July 14 for that night’s $500 Grand Slam. That gives players another route into one of the largest buy-in events on the programme.
A leaderboard will run for the duration of the Summer Classic, with the top five performers earning extra prizes on top of their tournament cashes. The top finisher can win up to $1,000 in BetMGM free bets.
Spin the Wheel runs alongside the series from July 10 to 14. Players must opt in and play at least one event in a day, and each spin can award up to $500 in casino bonus money.
