Hard Rock Bet has opened online qualifying for a live slots tournament offering a guaranteed $5 million cash pool, with players in New Jersey, Michigan, Florida and Ontario able to seek seats through its apps. The qualifying period runs from Oct. 5 through Nov. 29.
The one-day event will take place Dec. 12 at The Guitar Hotel at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood in Florida. The winner will receive $1 million, while every competing player will be eligible for a cash prize down the leaderboard. Hard Rock Bet said total awards exceed $5.1 million when its Games Bonus tier is included.
Qualifiers will receive two one-minute opening-round plays, with only their higher score counting. The top 10 progress to a two-minute semifinal, after which five players advance to the championship round; the highest championship score wins the grand prize. The machines will operate in tournament mode, awarding points rather than requiring personal funds, and the programme also includes a celebrity charity round.
The online route differs by jurisdiction. New Jersey and Michigan players can enter a series of biweekly Hard Rock Bet Online Casino sweepstakes. At the close of each window, winners are randomly drawn, with top finishers receiving a tournament seat and bonus spins, while other winners receive bonus spins alone.
Ontario players can enter the same four biweekly casino sweepstakes through the Hard Rock Bet Casino app. They must opt into an active qualifier, play eligible games and complete the promotional requirements displayed there. Hard Rock Bet launched in Ontario on July 22, its first market outside the United States.
In Florida, players qualify through Real Money Games powered by Past Motor Racing. The app will run a weekly mix of sweepstakes and Pooled Play & Get qualifiers through Nov. 29; participants must be at least 21 and physically located in Florida.
Successful qualifiers must RSVP within 72 hours, provide a Unity ID and reconfirm their attendance at least seven days before the event. Hard Rock Bet also reserved seats for VIPs chosen by its host teams.
The Hollywood event follows a smaller Hard Rock Bet live tournament held in Atlantic City on Sept. 26. That $100,000 contest drew 300 qualified players, including 250 who earned seats through August app sweepstakes and 50 assigned through the property’s host and VIP block; cash prizes went to the 25 highest scores.
Hard Rock Bet offers the service in Florida through the Seminole Tribe of Florida, while Seminole Hard Rock Digital, LLC offers it in the other listed states. The Guitar Hotel is at 1 Seminole Way in Hollywood.
