Atlantic City’s nine casinos won $304.2 million from in-person slot machines and table games in July, a 7.1% increase from a year earlier. New Jersey’s combined casino, internet gaming and sports betting revenue reached $678.1 million, up 11.9%, and year-to-date gaming revenue moved above $4.2 billion. Retail casino play outpaced online gaming for the first time in 2026, even as the internet market set a record.
The Division of Gaming Enforcement’s monthly report put Atlantic City slot revenue at $226.1 million, up 6.2%, and table-game win at $78.1 million, up 9.5%. Eight of the nine casinos posted higher revenue than they had in July 2025. Borgata led the market with $81.6 million, Caesars recorded the sharpest percentage gain at 34.6% to $25.3 million, and Bally’s was the only property to fall, slipping 13.7% to $12.2 million.
Statewide internet gaming revenue came to nearly $277 million in July, a record monthly high for the market. FanDuel, partnered with Golden Nugget, led with $61.7 million, up 18.5%, and DraftKings, tied to Resorts, followed with $48.1 million. Even so, the month was the first this year in which physical casino revenue exceeded online gaming.
Sports betting produced $100 million in win across online and in-person wagering, about 30% more than in July 2025. Online sportsbooks accounted for $94.6 million of that total. FanDuel’s online sportsbook, operating through its licensing deal with the Meadowlands Racetrack, led with $32.8 million, followed by DraftKings at $25.6 million, BetFanatics at $10.6 million and BetMGM at $8.8 million. More than $30 million of the month’s betting revenue was linked to the FIFA World Cup.
James Plousis, the chair of the New Jersey Casino Control Commission, said Atlantic City’s “summer season hit its stride” in July. He also said the state’s gaming-tax revenue tied to the total had exceeded $540 million this year and was supporting programs for senior citizens and people with disabilities.
The July figures landed against a wider competitive backdrop. Three full-scale casinos are planned for New York City, while lawmakers in Trenton declined to advance a ballot measure that would have expanded slot machines beyond Atlantic City. A year earlier, the state had reported July total gaming revenue of $606.2 million and year-to-date revenue of $3.92 billion, and a July 2012 DGE release put total casino win that month at $308.2 million.
