BetMGM and Borgata Online have added Awager’s live-streamed slot offering in New Jersey, giving players remote access to physical slot cabinets housed in regulated studios rather than digital recreations of the games. The product runs through a live 4K video stream with the machine’s real audio and little delay between a player’s input and the cabinet’s response, and players can connect from a mobile device or desktop.
As covered in June, BetMGM had already refreshed Borgata Online with a redesigned interface, a consolidated rewards hub and about 4,000 games. The new live-slot option arrived a little more than a month after that relaunch.
At launch, the service includes 50 cabinets and more than 30 titles, among them Aristocrat Gaming’s Buffalo Ascension and Lightning Link. BetMGM said the rollout is available through both BetMGM Casino and Borgata Online in New Jersey, and that every spin takes place on an actual machine inside the studio.
The company did not disclose the studio’s location, the available wager ranges or whether every title will run around the clock. The announcement also did not identify other states, games or features planned for the service.
The move extends Awager’s format to two of New Jersey’s larger online casino brands. In June, BetMGM generated $35.4 million in New Jersey online casino revenue, while Borgata reported $21.2 million; together they accounted for $56.6 million of the state’s $271 million monthly total.
Rob Passerino, BetMGM’s director of gaming, called the addition “an exciting new way” for players to engage with slot machines digitally and said it was “just the beginning” of the partnership. Awager, now part of Aristocrat after the acquisition completed in November 2025, says it operates multiple studios across North America and Europe and works exclusively in regulated markets.
