New Jersey’s licensed online-casino roster has reached 30 after three new internet casinos were added between June and this week, with Vegas Club Casino the latest entrant. The Division of Gaming Enforcement issues approvals on a rolling basis and says any site not on its list is not approved to offer internet gaming in the state.
A company release said G2 Digital launched Vegas Club Casino in New Jersey through a market-access partnership with Caesars Entertainment, describing it as a fully licensed and regulated real-money online casino. Greg Carlin said creating a strong online gaming experience means delivering “authentic excitement, real player protections, and the feeling that every player is a VIP.”
G2 Digital was founded by Carlin and Dan Alexander. Carlin’s debut at Vegas Club is his first online-casino project since leaving Rush Street Interactive and Rush Street Gaming, which he helped build and later led as chief executive. He now runs Granite State Gaming and Hospitality, which operates Beach Club Casino and Lilac Club Casino in New Hampshire.
Later coverage was not fully consistent on timing. Covers said Vegas Club went live on Wednesday, while PlayNJ said it had been live since late June.
The launch came during a strong month for New Jersey’s internet-gaming market. The Division of Gaming Enforcement said internet gaming win reached $271.0 million in June, up 17.5% from $230.7 million a year earlier, and year-to-date internet gaming win rose 15.0% to $1.59 billion. Total gaming revenue for June was $585.6 million, up 0.7%, and year to date it was $3.52 billion, up 6.0%.
Other segments moved less evenly. Casino win for the nine casino hotels fell 0.7% to $257.3 million in June, though year-to-date casino win still rose 2.3% to $1.1 billion. Sports wagering gross revenue dropped 37.7% to $57.3 million, even as handle rose 16.0%, and the regulator said the decline was mainly due to patron winnings tied to the NBA Finals and FIFA World Cup games. Year-to-date sports wagering gross revenue fell 7.1% to $513.0 million, and total gross revenue taxes came to $81.0 million for June and $500.5 million year to date.
Covers also said Vegas Club launched alongside Ember Casino and Betinia Casino, both tied to Caesars Entertainment. G2 Digital plans to expand into Alberta, Ontario and Pennsylvania pending regulatory approval.
