Variety of Tournament Formats and Buyins

The WSOP continues expanding its online tournament offer each year, and this time around there will be 30 bracelet events to play online, with buyins ranging from just $333 to $10,000.

The first couple of online bracelet events are already behind us, and it is clear that the interest in them has never been bigger, as the extended player network allows for a bigger playing field and more competition.

This year’s online bracelet schedule will include a record number of different game formats, including mystery bounty, PKO, deepstack, freezeout, and multi-day events.

This time around, some of the online events will feature live final tables, with the last remaining players flying out to play out the final table in Las Vegas.

Such events will include the $3,200 High Roller on June 18, the $5,300 High Roller on June 29, the $5,300 High Roller Championship on July 10, and the $3,200 High Roller on July 14.

The Championship Event of the Series will also start online on July 11 with a price tag of $10,000, while the final table will be played live in Las Vegas.

Apart from these High Roller events, a number of other interesting events with lower buyins will also be scattered throughout the next six weeks, including the $400 Colossus with multiple starting days, the $1k Mystery Bounty Championship with a million dollar guarantee, and others.

New Software Guarantees Better Experience

It is no secret that WSOP Online has been less than perfect in the past years, with players reporting various problems while playing the online WSOP events.

Players on WSOP New Jersey and WSOP Michigan should have a much smoother experience this year, as WSOP has its new Poker 8 platform in cooperation with 888poker, which looks better, runs faster, and offers a smoother gameplay experience across the board.

For the first time ever, players will be able to play up to four tables at the same time on their mobile devices, join PLO tournaments on their phones and tablets, and enjoy a variety of other features on both the desktop and mobile client.

The new software also supports new tournament formats like PKO and mystery bounty, which has allowed the Series to run such events as part of the online series for the first time.

With players from Michigan now joining the merged player pool and the new software available for download, the WSOP online experience should be a lot more rewarding for amateur and professional poker players in all three states.
