New Jersey’s gaming revenue rose 2.8% from a year earlier to $579.6 million in September, as internet gaming growth more than offset declines in casino-floor and sports-betting revenue.

The Division of Gaming Enforcement released the figures Oct. 19. The gain followed an August in which statewide gaming revenue fell 4% to $615.7 million, as we reported in September.

Internet gaming win rose 13% to $274.8 million, exceeding the $227.8 million generated by Atlantic City’s nine casino hotels. The online total was just below July’s $276.9 million monthly record.

FanDuel led online casino brands with $57.8 million, followed by DraftKings at $53.3 million and BetMGM at $35.4 million. BetFanatics posted the sharpest reported annual increase among those brands, with win rising 187.4% to $14.7 million.

Casino win at the nine hotels fell 1.3% from September 2025. Slot-machine revenue increased 4.6% to $177.9 million, but table-game win declined 17.6% to $49.9 million. Ocean Casino rose 7.6% to $42.6 million and Harrah’s increased 12.7% to $18.5 million.

Sports wagering revenue dropped 14.3% to $77 million. Online sportsbooks produced $72.9 million, down 18.8%, while sportsbook lounges generated $4.1 million after posting a small loss a year earlier. Handle on completed events was down 3.6% at $1.09 billion.

Football betting illustrated the weaker sports-betting hold. Operators won $4.3 million from $318.8 million in football wagers, a 1.3% hold compared with 4.8% in September 2025. FanDuel’s online sportsbook revenue fell 34.4% to $24.7 million, while DraftKings’ declined 5.9% to $21.3 million.
